could've seen that coming from a mile away. But no doubt that if Santana happened to be traded to the Dodgers, Dbacks, Rockies, or Giants, you'd get your panties in a bunch.

You took that post way too seriously, mofo

Of course, that too could have been seen coming from a mile away.

    Good one.
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

And I think you can make a good case for Peavy being the second best pitcher in baseball, but not the best unless Johan has another "down" year.

Johan's in no way head and shoulders above Jake, but I'd say Johan has the slight edge for now.

Looking at the deal now for a day I HATE IT! Bill Smith needs to be fired on the spot!!! The only offer of any kind of soild return would have been from the (gasps to say this) the Yankees. Hughes and Cabrera with a mid level spec would have been more than enough. Honestly this deal we have NO ONE ready to step in and play CF or replace Santana in the rotation now via the deal.

Buster Onley of ESPN thinks the deal is more towards 2010 when we will be opening our new stadium and then the team will compete again. I hate the deal!!!

Bill Smith please quit your job and get a guy with top baseball knowledge!!

I would agree, except that he essentially traded Matt Garza for Delmon Young.

I really feel bad for the Twins fans, truly I do. I am frustrated and sad with this trade.. And I am not even close to be a Twins fan. There are just certain players in every sport that are recognizable with the face of that particular organization. Santana happens to be one that was a recognizable face with the Twins.

I dont mind that deal. Garza had issues and did not like to follow orders from his pitching coach and his starting catcher.

I know that Santana was on the market. I am still in shock that is all the Twins could get. I find it hard this was their best option. Sounds like your owner had too much say in this proposal. Low budget players, and collect revenue sharing and fans $$$ for himself.

The Twins did what they could since the Yanks and Red Sox pulled their offers. Gomez is a defensive stud and has lightning fast speed. Give him time. Remember that not a lot could be expected in terms of prospects considering they also have to pay him out the ass.

No, I'm saying I liked the deal, and it was a steal for the Twins.

I'm aware that your post wasn't meant to be serious, but I put out what needed to be said.

Is that a reference about Gomez on the base paths?
