Twins Re: Twins 3rd Base Issues

Here's some updates on some of the Twins' minor leaguers playing in the AFL this year:

Matt Macri is batting .293 in 24 games with a .822 OPS.

Trevor Plouffe is batting .280 is 15 games with 8 RBI and a .379 OBP.

The Twins also have a guy named Chris Basak on their 40-man active roster. Does anyone know anything about this guy?

Here is Chris Basak's page from Minorleaguebaseball.com:

Looks like a roster-filler to me, but who knows. Invite him to spring training and see what he can do.

How about Scott Seabol as an option there? He is 32, so he isn't a long-term solution, but he hits pretty well and can play a bit of defense. Another cheap option could be Bobby Scales, who is 29. He has a bit of pop in his bat and can run a little bit as well.
Neither of these guys would cost a lot of money as both are minor-league free agents.
