A one hit game is still damn good. Congrats to Scott Baker! At least he puts out a full effort when he pitches. Unlike Santana. 68-67 record the season is over lets call up the kids in aaa.

This was one of the better efforts of the season, even considering Johan's game against the Rangers. Scott Baker is not a "top of the rotation" guy, he will be at best a #3 starter, but he gives it his best effort every time out. He looks comfortable and appears to feel he belongs in the bigs now. If Slowey and Garza could just learn this.....

Whoa, once Liriano gets back the Twins are going to have one of the best pitching rotations in the league. I'm hoping and praying Santana leaves the Twins!

I almost hope we trade Santana. He has had a terrible season. The home runs he has given up is way to much. How many games has it been when Johan pitched that we were down 3-0 or 4-0 after the first? I honestly believe this is a way Santana can show how upset he is over Ryan and Poland not spending again in free agency!

Way to jinx Scott Baker by starting this thread. It'd be damn nice if you have patience to wait till after the game...

Just kidding here... Mad props to Baker.

Baker has done a very nice job of settling in this season. He looks comfortable on the mound and appears to feel he belongs in the bigs. I hope to see the same look from Garza and Slowey (not to mention Bonser) sometime soon.
