Morneau injuried taken to hospital

I just got home from work and I see he was hurt on a collision at home plate! He was coughing up blood and by what I've seen it does not look good. If anyone had an update please post, I have found nothing so far.

Bad note:
Twins lose 5-4
Pen gave up the homer to lose us the game.

X-rays on Justin Morneau's chest showed no broken bones. He'll be kept in the hospital overnight because of a bruised lung.
Morneau, who was given an oxygen mask after spitting up blood, is not expected to play the rest of this series against Florida and will be re-evaluated Sunday by a Marlins team doctor. Maybe this injury, which appeared minor at first and then got scary in a hurry, won't send him to the DL after all. Still, the Twins might want to call up Garrett Jones to fill in at first base for a few days.

Sounds like right now he is only going to miss a couple of games, but when he comes back, he may struggle with his swing a bit though. We will see. Hope he can return soon, I don't like to see anyone get injuried, I like it when teams are at full strength, makes for better cometition.

He is supposed to be in the hospital through sunday. At least Cirillo swung the bat well tonight! He went 4-5..

It is likely he will miss a few games, but the injury isn't as bad as it was feared.
The team can get by without him for a short time, but I hope it isn't a long term injury.

Great job Cirillio. I have always liked Cirillio. He is a good guy to have on the team. He is a tough out and he is a good mentor.

that was Mauer my friend! Morneau is still in a Miami hospital. Still watching him. Per ESPN he is leaving tomorrow for Minnesota! I sure hope that there wont be side effects that will slow Morneau down. He is having a great year.
