    5/17/05: Blue Jays/Twins

Twins continue their long homestand tonight as Corey Koskie and the Blue Jays come to town for a three-game series. This will be Corey's homecoming so I hope he gets a warm welcome from the fans. I am pretty sure he will get a hometown ovation and rightfully so. I liked what Corey did this offseason when he thanked the organization and the fans in ad for the Star-Tribune and Pioneer Press.

Blue Jays have played well so far. I think John Gibbons has done a very good job getting the most out of his team in his first year as their manager. Will they keep it up? I am not sure. I like Baltimore's chances a little better to unseed NY and Boston than Toronto. Toronto is a year or two away. Still they will have a good season. I just hope they are good enough to be spoilers to NY and Boston this year.

Johan is on the hill tonight for the Twins. Here's hoping that he gets back on track after a rough outing in his last start. BTW, there was a piece on him on SportsCenter last night. They talked about how Johan's trip to the minors made him the pitcher he is as he learned how to use his changeup to a T in the minors. Guys like Frank Thomas, Paul Knoerko, Bret Boone, and Mike Scoiscia was raving about Johan's changeup. Johan also credited TM for being the pitcher he is as he said how he learned a lot about the changeup working with Terry. Goes to show you what a valuable guy TM is.

Wow, just got my first chance to check up what's going on with this game.

WTF? Santana = average suddenly? Last three outings have been bad. Tonight. 5 innings, 9 hits, 7 ER?! WTF?

I also see that Gardy still has zero confidence in Crane. 8 pitches and pulled. Giving up nothing. What happened?

Thank God TM is here. He can't be worse.

I am not sure why he wasted Jesse and Matt Guerrier tonight. This game was over. Why waste our big-time relievers?

I sent you a PM about the Twins hitting with the bases loaded. They lost it in the fifth inning as Juan and Joe could not get a hit with the bases loaded. God the Twins are pathetic.

PA & Dubay were talking last week about how they figured the Twins could come out of this home stand with an 8-1 or 7-2 record and would be looking pretty sweet going into Cleveland next week. Damn, after tonight, we'll be 1-3 so far.

Man I am so concerned about the Twins. I really am. I haven't been happy with them for quite some time. Some of the stuff they are doing is getting old and tiredsome. You really have to wonder if this team has the heart to ever a win a WS championship with this group of guys. The problem with this team is that they are so content to be mediocore players. They are just happy to be here. That's their problem.

I thought we would take Texas and sweep Toronto. Twins had no business losing to Texas Friday night with a 6-2 lead. They got a shot to take the series with the Blue Jays, but tonight was so dissapointing.

Dick Bremer is sounding like someone from his family is dead.

The crowd at the Dome is so dead right now.

Bert is ciricling everyone in attendance.

    God this is pathetic.

Lynch: Yankees are at the Dome in the first weekend of June. Giants and Padres come in the middle of June. Giants come to MN on June 14-16 and Padres come to MN June 17-19. Those are great games.
