    Twins Now this is irony

Minnesota Twins: Minnesota center fielder Torii Hunter left Friday night's game after being hit in the head by a first-inning pitch thrown by former teammate and Cincinnati starter Kyle Lohse.

Hunter, who was beaned on the left side of his batting helmet, did not lose consciousness and appeared alert and coherent, according to the Twins. The team said there were no signs of a concussion.

As for Lohse, he lasted only two-thirds of an inning and left with a mild strain of his right hamstring. He was replaced by Brian Meadows.

Lohse, who was traded to the Reds last July after five-plus seasons with Minnesota, had runners at second and third and was trailing 1-0 when he hit Hunter. After lying in the dirt around home plate for four minutes, Hunter walked back to the dugout with a trainer on each side of him.

When Lohse walked over to check on him, Twins manager Ron Gardenhire -- who clashed with Lohse down the stretch of the 2005 season -- patted Lohse on the shoulder.
Hey Lynch...I'm sure you're upset that Lohse is gone
I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

All I know is Lohse was really shaken up over this. He had to come out of the game. I wonder if they were pretty close with eachother as teammates.

Lohse always will suck. At least he had the balls to come to the dugout and check on Hunter. At least that shows he has class.
