I am predicting that the Twins will win the World Series this year. The only thing in their way is getting to the playoffs. If they do that they should def win the World Series. So you heard it here first Twins fans.

I can't disagree. They're up there, for me, in terms of post-season makeup.

I'm still not sold yet. Can they really keep this up? However, this team does remind me of the 2005 Houston Astros, where pitching took them into the wild card spot and eventually snook into the WS.

I agree that the Twins might have a world series caliber team, but it will be tough for them to even make the playoffs this year. If they were in any other division in baseball they would probably be a lock for the playoffs, but as it is they are 10.5 game out of first place and 2 game out of the wild card. Obviously the wild card is their only chance but they still have to get passed the Whitesox, and Yankees or Redsox (whoever wins the East).

Too bad they lost a heartbreaker in the first game of the series with Detroit and last night, they were playing catchup ball all night long. Everything the tigers did, the twins answered back and then the tigers answered right back again. Losing this series really hurts, especially after sweeping the Sox earlier in the week and actually holding a share of the WC spot.

I agree, that I think the twins have what it takes to win the WS if they could get there, especially after seeing how they destroyed the NL during the cross-conference schedule, but they only real shot they have of making the playoffs is via wildcard. if they get that and don't have to play Detroit in the first round, they might stand a chance.

Soriano in a Twins uniform I do believe would put us over the top. Pitching is there. hitting is good but Soriano in the lead off spot look out. This team would be even more dangerous. Santana will beat the Tigers today!
