Twins in the 2006 All-Star game

We've got two guys (for sure) that will be heading to Pittsburgh for the 2006 All-Star game, and neither is one of those "every team must be represented" all-stars either. Joe Mauer and Johan Santana




A possible third (although doubtful) would be Frankie Liriano who's on the last chance ballot, dependant upon the fans to vote in one more person. He's on the ballot with AJ, Ramon Hernandez, Travis Hafner and Justin Verlander.

Santana and Mauer are both very much deserving. Of course, I gotta stump for Liriano, although he's definitely not well enough known to get in on a fans ballot. But, do your part and vote anyway!

Mauer definately deserves it. It's absolutely amazing the year he is having. As for Santana, what can be said that hasn't been said already. The guy is the ace of the staff and having another Cy Young caliber season.

I put in my votes for Hafner, being an ex-Ranger and having a great year, but I wouldn't be too disappointed if Liriano made it either. Only thing that will keep him out is that it's decided by the fans. That guy is having an incredible year.
