As I hinted at earlier (week or so ago), it's too bad the Twins don't get to continue playing the sappy and crappy NLC because once we get back to playing the AL, they won't be looking so good. Too bad I was right. After an incredible run in the last 3 weeks of June and the beginning of July, the Twins lose three straight, losing by a score of 9-22.
Bonser got shelled, Radke got shelled (although not as badly as Bonser) and then Silva got rocked. None of the 3 lasted outside of 5 innings (Bonser gone in 3). Morneau is still doing well, but outside of that, the offense has been pretty weak (and one good game from Lew).
The Twins hit 3 home runs last night and still lost 4-9.
Thankfully we've got two good outtings left in TX as Liriano is on the mound right now (5 innings in, 7K's, no runs) and tomorrow Santana will be throwing. But outside of the "bright side", coming out of that win streak like we didn't know wtf we were doing, is really depressing.
