Hell of a game for Santana. 8 innings, 13 K's. Gets his 1000th K and off former teammate David Ortiz. Nice!

Bottom of the 9th, 2 out 1 on, tie score 1-1

Leave it to Jesse Crain to hose up a great game.

Dipstick loads up the bases in the top of the 10th with 1 out. You know what's worse than that. Every time I wear my glove, I have to look at his name (son got Jesse to sign my glove last year.... devaluing the damn thing).

WHahahahaha.... nice way to end it!

Twins win 5-2 as Kubel hits a grandslam in the bottom of the 12th! :woot:

That was an amazing game. Very similar to the Nomargate/SuperJeter game between the Sox and Yankees in July 2004. The one where Nomar was completely disinterested in the dugout. Well pitched (not as well as this), went to extra innings, the Sox went up by one, then shoddy RP shat the bed.

As soon as I saw this matchup last week I was sad, because I knew I'd have LOVED to have been at this game (had to work as always). Luckily I can watch via some online boxscore or gamecast type deal.

Hell of a pitching matchup that went awry by late-inning "relief". As soon as I saw Crain went in, my head dropped. Did some work, looked back a couple minutes later and saw the bases loaded and just groaned. Thankfully the right part of the order was up in the 12th for the Twins and Boston's relief was equally bad that inning.

did you hear the call of the homer. Not Morris but the other guy I forgot his name said it was a deep fly out to tie the game. Then all of the sudden it was a grand slam. If you can find the audio of the call listen to it or post it here if possible. Santana was outstanding again 13k's! Crain sucked it up as usual.

Why did Boston not have Papelbon (spelling) in the game? Also sounded like the homer by boston's catcher was air conditioned blow out of the park. Some strange stuff at the HOMERDOME tonight.

    Big Homer by Kubel!!!

Paps wasn't in since he already pitched two (?) innings earlier on (9th and 10th, to counter Nathan and Rincon I believe)

I didn't know that they did Gatorade showers in baseball. I thought this was reserved for football coaches only.
