    Silva and Morneau's injury update

Wild team physician Dr. Boyd did a test for Carlos Silva. It looks like his injury is not as serious as it was thought. He could be back in June. We will see. I am still amazed how he got hurt. He looked very good last week and he did not seem like he was in pain. I am still stunned that he is hurt.

As for Justin, it looks like he may be on the 15-day DL. He has been expressing dizziness since being hit in the head last week at Seattle. He went to see a neurologist the other day to have CT scan. Fortuantely, his CT scan went fine. Still it's dissapointing that he is going to miss some time.

Look for Terry Tiffee to be called up.

    Anytime, Lynch.

I just hope Justin comes soon. He is a huge part of our offense. If anything, he is our offense.

Yep. LeCroy is ok in a fill in position (once in a while) but I sure as hell don't want to go a month (or more) with the resident Teamster at 1st base. Definitely need Morneau back.

So far, Lecroy has done a decent job. Still I am not going to count on him to do great things this season.

Morneau is indeed on the 15 day DL. What a disapointment it is. We need his bat and glove in the lineup. Lecroy I hope can hold his own.

Terry Tiffee will be called up in Justin's absence.

It's dissapointing that Justin is hurt. It is what it is though. Stuff happens. I am not happy about it. I just hope this won't be a point where he is a injury prone.

Lecroy doesn't even have his own firstbasemen glove...he uses Dougs old glove.

Head injuries are never good. Morneau said he had 3 or 4 concusions in hockey so this I hope will clear up. What the hell was Valone thinking when he made that pitch?

Pitch inside so Morneau doesn't just look for pitches outside to hit?

mntwinsfan: i don't think Villone intentionally hit Morneau. It happened.

Yeah that is true. Sure thought Morneau would have tried to get out of the way.

mntwinsfan: You know what's the problem. Today's hitters nowadays want to take up the pitcher's space aka the strike zone so hitters put themselves in a position to be plunked because they are by the catcher.

Carlos is back with the team. He was in the Twins dugout last night during the game.

Good job by Carlos signing autographs with the fans and paying the tab as he took one of the Twins minor leagues teams in Beloit to dinner.
