Twins Game 1 stats and comments

Radke got lucky on this one. Gave up 3 runs with 2 outs in the bottom of the first. 2 outs, one on and he gives up the long ball to Troy Glaus. Next batter, Overbay gets the same look and launches one.

    Twins 0
    Jays 3

Lucky for Radke, he settled down after that and pitched an honest next 5 innings and he got run support from the Twins who shelled the Blue Jays with 13 runs, including a grand slam by Torii Hunter, a HR by Stewart and another late one by Rodriquez. Hunter's was nice as it came with the bases loaded and 2 outs in the 8th. Fun seeing that.

Anyway, the point is, Radke gave up 4 earned runs in 3 innings and was bailed out by the Twins bats. Something that probably won't happen the rest of the season.

    Twins Game 2

So far, it's only the second inning and Radke has given up one HR so far to Chavez. More to come later.

By nobody on base. That's good.

But then Tony Batista homers with 2 on bases. That's even better.

how would you feel about doing this for Lohse as well? or all the starters? would be very interesting to watch.

Good to see the 6 runs scored. Sounds like Bastista hit that ball along way! Only able to listen on XM radio..

I've been *****ing about Radke for the past few years. The guy gives up more HR/game than anyone in history (so it seems anyways). It drives me bonkers how many he gives up in the first and second innings more than anything, but always early game HRs. Most guys get tired and give up a longball after a few innings. Not radke. He gets the "obligatory" HR or three out of the way right off the bat, and then usually settles down for the next few innings.

So, I'm going to keep track as we go this year. The more games he pitches, the more you'll understand wtf I'm talking about.
