The Twins tied a 40 year old record today by fanning 17 opposing batters in the Twins 3-1 win over the Tribe in Cleveland.

    Nathan: 2 K's (4 bf)

    Outstanding!

Other highlights from the afternoon. Liriano fans 10 in 5 innings earning his 12th win of the year (12-2) and lowering his ERA to 1.93 on the season. Nathan picks up his 19th save. Just another example of how the Twins seem to be able to find, draft, trade for or develop some good pitching talent in the minors.

I'm kind of curious why the hell Gardendipshit yanked Liriano after 5 innings. It wasn't because the game was so well underway and/or over before it was over. Saving him for October? Phftt... ahahhaa.. sorry, I had to say that.
