    The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel's Tom Haudricourt reports Milwaukee Brewers 2B Rickie Weeks (thumb) underwent thumb surgery as planned Oct. 11, but the results were better than club officials had imagined. Expectations were that a torn ulnar collateral ligament in his left thumb would have to be repaired with a graft or bone fusion, but there was enough remaining of the torn ligament for it to be reattached without a graft.

    Weeks injury doesn't seem to be too serious. Looks like it'll be taken care of.
