Brewers Acquire Nyjer Morgan

Brewers acquired OF Nyjer Morgan from the Nationals in exchange for INF/OF prospect Cutter Dykstra and cash considerations.
Morgan was most likely destined for Triple-A to start the season and pretty much assured himself of being dealt after saying that he felt like his time in the Nats organization was coming to an end. Though he had a down year at the plate in 2010, Morgan offers more offensively than Carlos Gomez and should see ample playing time in center field for the Brewers. Dykstra is, of course, the son of former big leaguer Lenny Dykstra. He's a former second-round pick but hasn't advanced much as a prospect. It looks like a solid deal for Milwaukee.

Morgan was more of a headache for the Nats than anything. Ankiel is every bit as good defensively so Morgan was expendable. They definitely didn't get quality return so like the article says, it definitely favors the Brewers.

At the risk of turning this thread into racial profiling, I get the feeling that some of you have Nyjer Morgan confused for Elijah Dukes, because besides charging the mound and attempting to punch Chris Volstad before being clotheslined (blindsidedly, I might add) by Gaby Sanchez, what other incidents has Nyjer Morgan incurred to be called a joke of a human being?

I was a bit harsh, but I absolutely don't like the guy. He's up there with the Milton Bradley's of the world. He ran over a Cardinals catcher(if I remember correctly) when it was totally unnecessary, and he has a negative attitude on and off the field.

Maybe I should have said "joke of a baseball player" instead.
