According to Ken Rosenthal of FOXSports.com, Zack Greinke is expected to miss the first three starts of the season due to a left ribcage injury.
Adam McCalvy of MLB.com reports that Greinke has a fractured rib. The 27-year-old right-hander was pushed back from his first bullpen session due to a ribcage contusion, which he admitted today occurred while playing basketball. This is obviously disappointing news for the Brewers and fantasy owners, who were counting on Greinke to thrive with the move to the National League. He still might, but he's going to get off to a late start.
