Well, Amare is significantly younger than Beltran. Also, a lot of Beltran's game is his speed/range/ability to play CF, which may be lost by decreased mobility from another surgery on his knees. Plus, Beltran at 6'1", 200, is lighter than Amare or Hill, but not by so much that it'd be easy for him to come back.
He won't need the surgery, as they reported late this afternoon, but had he needed it, it certainly would have been terrible news for the Mets.

The game was good on your end but you gave it to us by slipping in the outfield. Gonna be a hard one with Gallardo tomorrow.

That game was GOOD? We had an outfielder fall on his face. We walked the pitcher on 4 pitches. We threw the ball all over the ****ing place on Braun's double turned 4 run....thing.
THAT WAS THE WORST GAME I HAVE EVER WATCHED!
PS: I called this sweep.
It's like the mets are intentionally trying to steal all of the bloopers for 2009. Fernando Martinez, welcome to the party.
Granted, Arizona leads the league in errors and they don't show the natinals enough for us to see their blunders. Except for the jerseys
Marshall: MILSWANCAs?
Ted: Wait, I can get this. Mothers I'd like to sleep with and never call again.
Barney: Circle gets the square!

Nothing is worse than watching this team. NOTHING.
Watching the reality shows on VH!, far worse. Sorry.

I'd beg to differ. Watching this team has sent me to the point where I'm (ALMOST) rooting for the Phillies to go on a 15 game winning streak, just so I won't get my hopes up and be crushed by another choke job.
....Now THAT should tell you how bad it is watching this team.

Major bummer for Yovani...He pitched an excellent game with a career high 12Ks but the Mets pitcher was just that much better by not getting us to score a run.
Damn. I did not see that one coming. Amazing to me that the Mets were able to avoid trouble in the 7th and 9th, those were the kind of innings where we'd give up 3 or 4 runs most of this season.
Good series guys, the Mets didn't deserve to win either of the first two, and today's game was just a great game to watch(or in my case listen to while at work).
Btw, Hardy Blonde....that wasn't you falling out of the stands on Castillo's double, was it? HAHAHA
...For those that didn't see it, a blonde in a JJ Hardy T-Shirt leaned over the tarp, and fell/landed completely in the field of play in order to pick up a bloop double that rolled into foul territory in LF.
Lmao no....My hair isn't that dark...Besides I wouldn't be that stupid to interrupt a play like that I hate it when people do that. She should have been escorted out of the stadium.
Haha. Just figured I'd ask.
But yeah, completely ridiculous. I don't understand how they let her stay. And then she and her friends were laughing....freaking idiots. I wish the ball boy had like ripped the ball out of her hands and given it to someone else.
