Fielder Gets Two Year Deal

Prince Fielder will get a two-year, $18 million deal from the Brewers, pending a physical.
Fielder probably would have settled for around $7 million in arbitration this year, so he's essentially taking $11 million for 2010. He'll still be arbitration eligible in 2011 before becoming a free agent that winter.

Good to hear but I still find it odd that Fielder turned down a five year deal last year. I guess he really wants out of Milwaukee when arbitration is up. I hope not for the Brewers sake. Fielder is a beast and is getting better at fielding his position.

Brewers get a good deal for the next two years, but I definitely get the sense that he will be somewhere else playing for a different team fairly soon.

Yeah I don't think he likes Milwaukee much. He wants a team that's got the money for him.
