Gallardo Update.....

Gallardo pitched 4 innings today in a rehab start. He gave up 3 runs and threw like 79 pitches. He scheduled another start with AAA=Nashville.

I think Uecker said he was schduled to pitch again on wed or thurs in oklahoma city. the brewers would evaluate him after that.

Gallardo is due to return this week to the Brewers' rotation and that should send Bush to the bullpen. He would make a great long reliever and spot start, fill-in the role that Villanueva did last year. He will still be a valuable pitcher for the Brewers this year. Plus, they could always trade hi at the deadline to fill a need for the stretch run or get some quality prospects.

It said something on My Yahoo about keeping him up here if they need him tomorrow if not then he'll go down to pitch one more game in AAA before returning.

Gallardo is at 88 pitches through 5 innings. I see one more, maybe 2 innings before Yost goes to the bullpen. Which is the smart move.
