Braun with possible inside track to NL ROY?

Yahoo! Sports has an article saying that Ryan Braun may have surpassed the rest of the fine rookie class. He is the second fastest player to reach 15 HR' s, by doing it only in 50 games. The only other player doing that is some guy named Albert Pujols, he hit his 15th & 16th in his 49th game. Nice Job, Ryan!!! Congrats!!!

It's a very close race between Ryan Braun and Hunter Pence of Astros. It's going to be tight till to the end. Although Braun has played less games (about 20) than Pence, he is hitting impressive 15 HRs so far for a rookie for a season. Pence got 12. Braun got the edge between them in the batting average category. They have similar # or RBIs and stolen bases. Pence is a much quicker runner - he has several triples and many doubles.

I can't tell who should deserves it more than Braun or Pence right now. I simply will wait and see what happens later in a few months from now.

And...if he stays healthy, Braun is pretty much a lock at this point IMO

you would have to think so. that is why i was so frustrated at the begining of the season when they sent him down for the first 7 weeks. We needed his bat, and the Brewers haven't worried about their defense in years. Braun makes up for that with his bat both with the power and the .avg so far.


I would rather see the Brewers win it all, then have him get ROY, know what i mean!!!


Gallardo keeps pitching like he does and might have to throw his name in the hat for the award as well!!!!!
