    Brewers Small Ball???

Brewers demonstrated tonight why they will NOT make the playoffs at this rate.

They are unable to produce runs without hitting homeruns. Bases loaded in the first 2 innings, and several other scoring opportunities throughout the game and the bail Marquis out by hitting in DP's and crappy strikeouts. Just competely frustrating!!!!

    Brewers Re: Small Ball???

see why I want to do this all the time-- over and over. Havent the Brewers learned over all these loosing season you must learn to win when you dont have your groove. see Jason Marquis tonight, even though he got a ND, he battled til the bats came alive. impressive. We had our many, many, many (oh, did I mention many) chances to knock him out early, and we did NOT!

we will get things turned araound.. But I just would like to see quality baseball. I realize we are going to loose games throughout the year. just looking for consistency and progression, and most importantly learning to do the same things to rally in a game or win when you don't have your best stuff. This is where Counsell does impress me. Hed may not be the most talented player, but he does the little things (the intangibles), like take a couple pitches to get base runners when the Brewers are loosing.

Yes indeed, I have to agree. Looks like we picked up a power hitting first baseman but I guess he can play outfield as well.

Brewers need to start developing another lead-off type player in the Gywnn, Jr. mold. Make a nice 1-2 punch at the top of the batting order for the big boopers!
