Brewers Do we need a possible rotation change...

I must admit that Bush's numbers are a little deceiving this year, but it seems that he may have lost his confidence a bit and it may be his own manager's fault.

Should we consider switching Villanueva and Bush for a couple of rotations so that Bush can get his confidence back or whatever he needs to be the pitcher he was last year, and even at first this year?

Thus far, the manager has not pulled Bush earlier than 5 completed innings, so how is it the manager's fault if Bush lost confidence in himself? It's all on Bush.

my point is that Yost just doesn't seem to sense when the pitcher has hit their limit or just doesnt have it on a particular night. I just know that Bush will be cruising along and just hit a wall or something. I understand that a pitcher needs to fight through all that stuff and battle, but Bush seems to be a little off kilter right now, as does a few other pitchers on the staff.

Yost does not have ESP. The general rule of thumb is that you just don't take your pitcher out if he is "cruising along."

Personally I think that grand slam was just a fluke. You can't predict when/if it will happen, it just did. Bush has struggled big time though and has given up games his last couple times out. So yeah I think they could use a change. Bush and Cappy are in the same boat...Seems like Sheets is the only one on his game.

I agree... I still say maybe Villanueva should start... I don't know.. Just frustrated and anxious right now.. On paper, we look good, just have NOT put it all together recently. Suppan is pitching better again, and Vargas is doing well, just had an off night last outing. Tonight will be an important start for him. I want to see how he reacts after a rough outing. See what kind of character is possess!

Well he didn't do too bad actually and OMG Yost actually took him out at a reasonable time! Villa...I dunno about him he was pretty good last night. Great strikeouts when they counted. Don't know if I'd make him a starter though.

Yeah you are probably right. I would just like to see Cappy get his stuff straightened out and Suppan and Sheets to continue throwing well, so if this is going to be our big 3, then I can live with Bush and Vargas as our #4 and #5 and hope they pitch .500 baseball. Bullpen needs to get some confidence in itself some too!!!

again Bush pitched well enough to win today, just having bad luck this year!!! either no run support or has 1 bad inning..

It was all Yost I'm afraid....I didn't see anything on tonights game though. I saw that Prince got the homer for us. That is a good record for the Brewers we just can't make anything of it....13 homers in the month of May is a franchise record...
