Is Yost misusing him may be a bigger question? A pitcher with a history of shoulder trouble pitching 5 straight days just doesn't make sense to me, especially with Turnbow needing the extra work.

    Thoughts?

Yost only really uses him when he absolutely has to. These last couple games he's had to use him. The only game he didn't have to was when the Brewers were up by 10. He used him then because he didn't pitch for a while. I'm hoping today they won't have to use him same with on the road. We can't afford for him to get hurt since Turnbow doesn't look quite right as a closer right now...

    Absolutely has to?

You were facing the worst offensive team in baseball with a 3 run lead. Definately no choice there!

And what part of Turnbow doesn't look like a closer? His 1.88 ERA? His 0.98 WHIP? His 22-6 K-BB?

Personally, I think Turnbow is in the perfect role right. He is gaoning confidence again and control problems are not much of an issue anymore. I believe Turnbow is a great asset and insurance policy for a just in case situation. Turnbow will be a closer again someday, but for now, I think he is loving his role. Not as much pressure and it is allowing him to relax and become confident as well.

Trust me it does not matter. If there is one guy on base Yost uses Cordero. The only time he doesn't put him in is when the Brewers are up by at least 4 runs. As for Turnbow I think he likes where he is. If he were to close a game I really think he would not feel comfortable. He gave up too many saves last year on us. By pitching the 8th inning he's more in his little element LoL
