Looks like Mench is going to stay now with this trade.

I think the Brewers will listen all season for Jenkins and Mench. They jsut want more for them. There will be rumors all year.

I see that the Brewers made another deal today. They sent Ben Hedrickson to the Royals for a catcher (Maxim St. Pierre). A minor leaguer his entire career. He has been an all-star 3 time in the minors, though. 10-years in the minors and still haven't moved up to the higher levels, time to considser retirement and coach, maybe make a great manager one day. I think the Brewers could have done better in this trade situation. Hendrickson will go to KC and probably be in their rotation. Not as much pressure there, and he can relax and re-gain his confidence. Royals get the better end of this trade!!

St. Pierre was a minor league free agent prior to signing with the Royals and now suddenly he is worth giving up Ben Hendrickson? The Brewers already have Estrada and Miller on the big league roster. Certainly, there had to be other means to obtain a Triple-A catcher.

I hear ya. Especially since he has been in the minors for 10 years. I think the Brewers just wanted to give a Hendrickson a change of scenery. They probably will send St. Pierre to the minors try and move him later.
