Jenkins is the same way as Mench, but he is left handed.. When hot, no one is hotter, when artic, he is way past frigid!!!

Too bad you can't guage when a player will be hot. You could play Jenkins when he's hot then bench him when he's cold and play Mench when he's hot instead.

Mench probably has a better chance at developing consistancy though since he is several years younger. As long as Jenkins has been around I would have thought he would have some consistancy by now.

You may be right Molina. I just think that Jenkins is the better fielder though. I hope they both either get over the platoon idea, or get rid of them. I don't want them sending bad vibes in the lockerroom with all the young players on the team. I want them to be good role models, set examples. As hard as it may be, but sometimes you have too sacrifice ego and pride, so other teams may want you and a positive atttitude.

I agree with both of you. Jenkins has been around long enough to know not to let his ego get the best of him but when it comes to baseball and wanting to play anything can happen. I'm sure many of the players looked up to someone like Jenkins back in the day to.
