I will give Counsell credit for something though. I truly believe that he is a gamer and he will pour his heart and soul for each play, at bat, game. I truly believe he loves this game! You can't take that away from him. I will always love that and respect that in a person.

I just dont want the Cubs to finish over the Brewers in the standings. That is one of my expectations for the Brewers every year!!!!

I have no doubt that Counsell's heart is in it everytime he's out there. He did a lot for the other teams he was with after the Brewers and I'm sure he'll bring it back to us this year.

With Counsell, I kind of put him in the same class as Eckstein for the Cards. They are scrappy and hard-nosed players. They just put every ounce of their talent on the line and let all hang out. They just let things take care of themselves after that.

I understand what you are saying there blondie, I would just like more offfense there. The corner spots traditionally are power hitters positions and I feel that Braun will be more productive there though! Why not let him get his feet wet in the bigs, while we have players on the roster to put in there if he is not ready!

Yep I see what you're saying, it was only a one time thing so far and Counsell doesn't really have bat material. Braun hit great no doubt about it, gotta test ALL the waters though I guess.
