    Marlins Playoff Chances

The Marlins currently sit in 4th place in the Wild Card 4 games back of Houson. They have SF for 2 more, then SD for 3 and LA for 3 at home. Then on the road to Mil and Chc before STL comes to town to end August. That isn't the hardest schedule in the world, and they get a chance to knock out PHI and WSH in Septemeber with lots of NL East games. 6 with Philly, 7 with Wash, 4 with Hou to go. I think they can definitely make a run. They got a lot of talent and with Lowell finally emerging from his slump they have gotten a boost. So what do you all think they will do?

I'd like to see my team end their playoff chances, quite frankly.

They need to get healthy and they need to get Juan Pierre to wake the f*ck up. Their offense is being carried by Miguel Cabrera (looks like a high schooler), Jeff Conine (card carrying member of the AARP), and Juan Encarnacion (Mr. Inconsistency). They need Delgado back, bad. They just wasted another good pitching performance last night. But if they do get into the playoffs, a Willis-Beckett-Burnett rotation is scary.

I think they could make a run for the Wild Card. They definitely have the pitching to do it.

Marlins are only 2 games back. But we can't just look at their rotation. As their's is strong, the Astros top three are even stronger. They have to get their offense going for sure.

So far tonight Beckett is beating Peavy 1-0 in the 5th inning.

Marlins are half a game back now! They are moving up. Will they get it?

I really think the Marlins could eek out the WC, if their offense wakes up.
