    Marlins Kenley Jansen to Miami?

    From Ken Rosenfalse:

Rival clubs believe #Marlins willing to offer Jansen five years, $80M and lose No. 14 pick in draft. Marlins say they’re still discussing.
It's frustrating being a fan of a team that loses a key player to free agency every year because some other team decides to break the bank to get him.

So I guess the old cba is still in effect for this offseason?

Yes. If the new CBA was in effect, the Marlins would have to forfeit their 3rd highest draft pick, and the Dodgers, since they're over the luxury tax threshold, would be compensated with just a pick after the 4th round.
