Marlins signed OF Pat White to a minor league contract.
The former Miami Dolphin is giving baseball a try again. White was selected in the MLB Draft out of high school in 2004 and on three different occasions while he was a quarterback at West Virginia. He also appeared in the instructional league with the Royals after they signed him in 2010, but he's yet to play in an official professional baseball game. Slated to turn 27 next month, it's obviously a longshot that White will ever have an impact at the big league level. Jan 25 - 10:27 AM
