Marlins Marlins: What's likely to happen in 2012.

I did this in the Pirates forum, I figured I'd try to spark some discussion here as well.

I'll leave it open to vote for as many as you think will happen this year for the Miami Marlins.

Or I'll forget, and make it the most likely.

I don't know about the top 5 but thier attendance is likely to spike a lot due to the newness of the stadium and the hike in payroll. The others not too sure about.

Out of all the options, making the playoffs seemed the most likely. The NL East is tough but the Phillies and Braves are no locks to finish ahead of the Marlins.

I also went with make the playoffs. I think the extra wild card is perfect spot for them. Even if it's only for one game, I think they get in.

Remember, "make the playoffs" counts not just winning that 1 game playoff, but just making it to the 1 game playoff, since it's considered a 2nd wild card. I agree that they make it, but I think it's more because the NL East is looking increasingly weak than because they're a good team. I don't see the attendance spiking that much. If the Heat can't draw with LeBron and DWade, no way the Marlins can. Florida sports fans are the worst in the world. It's cuz they're all old and retired.
