    Marlins Chris Coghlan Called Up

Tired of watching their offense sputter, the Marlins are reaching down to their minor-league system in the hopes of finding a fix. Chris Coghlan, 23, one of the organization's top prospects, is being called up from Triple A New Orleans and will join the Marlins in Denver on Friday. As Bob Fortis of the New Orleans Times-Picayune reported, Coghlan will take the roster spot belonging to pitcher Anibal Sanchez, who is headed to the disabled list after leaving Thursday's game with shoulder discomfort. Coghlan is a natural infielder who has split time this season between second and third base.
Coghlan is hitting .344/.418/.552 in AAA so his offense will definitely be welcomed given that Bonifacio and Uggla are struggling. Now all Fredi Gonzalez has to do is play him.

Nice debut for the kid. 2-4 with a run scored and a walk. Uggla might be starting to get worried.

Apparently Coghlan will be playing left with Hermida moving back to RF and Ross in CF. Maybin and his struggles will sit on the bench a while or could be sent back to the minors.
