Marlins placed RHP Jorge Julio on the 15-day disabled list with a right calf strain.
The Marlins found a way to get 2007's worst pitcher off the roster. Julio has a 19.06 ERA and a 2/11 K/BB ratio in seven appearances. We're guessing he'll make a few appearances in the minors before he's activated.

Marlins placed outfielder Alejandro De Aza on the 15-day disabled list, retroactive to April 16, with a sprained right ankle.
The Marlins blew it by having De Aza pinch-hit on Sunday, meaning they can only back up the assignment two days, rather than seven. Cody Ross and Alfredo Amezaga will share time in center until De Aza returns.
Why they traded for Julio I will never know. De Aza was off the a great start this season and will be missed in the everyday lineup. Players are probably hoping Julio never comes back.
