Josh Johnson has been diagnosed with an irritated ulnar nerve that will likely force him to miss at least the first two months of the season.
It doesn't appear that he'll need surgery, which is good news. "If it was real bad, I'd probably be out for four months," Johnson said. "It's good to know exactly what it is." Yusmeiro Petit, Sergio Mitre, Jose Garcia, Wes Obermueller and Chris George are the candidates to replace Johnson in the rotation.
Not good news for the Marlins even though they will still have a good rotation. It's a tough division so the Marlins will need a suitable replacement. They also still need a CFer.
