Haha, Madson is pulled after pitching only 1 inning and giving up 9 runs on 7 hits and 4 walks. This is just brutal. I bet the Philadelphia crowd is booing like they've never booed before.

Hah. Josh Bard now has 6 passed balls on the season while being the "specialist" catcher for Tim Wakefield. That latest one just gave Tampa Bay a 2-1 lead over the Red Sox. I wonder if they miss Doug Mirabelli?

I mean seriously, can Varitek really do that much worse? At least he can hit. Maybe they should keep Varitek's bat in the lineup instead of starting a reserve catcher who can't catch the knuckleball anyways.

Haha wow, Tim Worrell enters the game (with one man on base) and he's trying to save the game in the 8th inning ... and Johnny Estrada drills a 3-run HR to tie the game, first blown save for Worrell.

And I believe Armando Benitez was activated today, not sure. Might be over for Worrell as the closer, who knows.

Hmm .. guess Worrell is still the closer. The Giants just let him bat in the 9th inning so that he can finish up the game in the bottom of the 9th. We'll see how this goes.
