117 pitches? How does TB only have 1 run? He's in line to get the win
Yeah, he would walk himself into trouble, but just get out of it and leave a bunch of runners stranded. Definitely playing with fire in every single inning except the first one.
And ... Cabrera might just get the win. It's 3-1 Baltimore in the 7th inning.
I want to know the last time a starter has won a game when allowing 9 walks or more. This has to be really rare.
Hmm ... haha. Never mind. Just as I write that, Ty Wigginton hits a 2-run HR to tie the game off John Halama. No win for Cabrera.
John Halama?!
John freakin' Halama?!
He still plays baseball?!?!
Brazelton (0-2) gave up two homers, two doubles, two infield singles and four walks. He has allowed four homers in 6 1-3 innings this season and has an ERA of 24.16.
On the road, the right-hander's career ERA is 8.59 in 25 games. His winless streak on the road is the longest since Kent Peterson of Cincinnati lost his first 18 away decisions in 1947-49.

Anyone see the ending in St. Louis? Damn. Carlos Lee stepped up in the clutch big time. Robbed Juan Encarnacion of a homerun with a leap above the wall to take away a walk-off homerun in the 10th inning, then in the 11th inning Lee smacked a huge HR to give the BrewCrew the lead; Turnbow came on to shut the door.
Yep. That ought to tell you something about how watered down the pitching is in MLB.Originally Posted by MarinersFan87

Here is the box score...Barry Bonds is still struggling at the place going 1-4...
The Giant win was a team effort. Morris won his second game as a Giant and M. Alou hit his 300 career HR. It was a great team win! Now on to game two which will be a tougher win with the Astro's going with their #1 pitcher!
Shouldn't be a problem.Originally Posted by Bear

GO GIANTS GET A CLUE!!!!
I wonder what Alous is thinking this early in the seaon? Doesn't make a lot of sense.
