I don't get why they need to "catch breaks". They have the pitching, defense, offense and bench. They aren't going to go from back to back 100+ win season to barely winning 90 in that division. Winning 100 games without your star third baseman for most of the year shows what kind of team this is.

It all depends, of course, on how often Barry Bonds and his ailing knees are able to take the field. Even with Bonds for most of the season, the Giants aren’t going to contend. If he misses most or all of the 2006 season, San Fran could finish last in baseball’s weakest division.
Dayn Perry has been one of the biggest idiots in sports over the past couple of years and comments like this shows why. Not going to contend? ****ing hilarious as most have them winning the damn thing but now we finish last?

Cards are the best team in the NL. General's an idiot if he really thinks they won't win 90. They'll win 100+.

I think they'll win the NL Central, but I don't think they'll get 100 wins this year.

Yep,those guys look scary to me.

I just ain't buying into all the hype. It's not that I am a Detroit hater (I save my hate for Chicago),I just don't buy all the hype.
wins and losses, in regards to a SP's statistics, are overated.

Just look at the post below yours.

Those ERAs aren't that impressive however.

I will also point out Verlander's small sample size in the majors thus far.

Ismael Valdez had something like 14 wins two years ago...

A team that can win 95-100 games can be #1...but the chances of them doing that seem low. I think they are a Top 10 team who will be fighting with no less than 4 or 5 teams for the Wild Card and Division.
