The April Contest Sign-Up

OK, this is the sign-up topic for the contest for April.

This is a takeoff of the NCAA's March Madness competition, head to head games. Preferably, I will get 16 or 32 people for this. Each round (week), one person in the matchup will advance and one will be out. Winner is the last one standing.

The prize for this contest is a copy of MLB 2k6 for either the PS2, XBox, or Gamecube. You will have to talk to Redsrbetter who is the point man on the prize about alternate choices in case it doesn't make it out in time for you or if you don't play games. Only one prize, but it's a goodie

Tiebreaker: The Total Runs scored in these five games.

I would vary it up (Stat Predictions, Player Predictions, etc.). I proposed Trivia with the mods and admins, but that didn't go over well since they believe it's more of a contest of timeliness rather than prediction skills. I'll leave it off unless both participants in a given matchup agree to allow it. With your sign-up, please indicate whether you mind having trivia type contests for yourself. I will not put them in unless allowed by both people.

We may have a first place prize, it's possible, we'll see what is decided. But I'm looking for at least sixteen people (I will include myself if needed, but prefer to stay impartial. I will void myself from trivia).

Any interest. Seeding will be based on proximity of signing up. For instance, if 31 people signed up, the first person would get a bye, and the round of 32 would have 15 pairings. If 28 people signed up, then the first four get a bye, we have twelve matchups. So sign-up early. The contests will be weekly, likely based on Sunday's baseball matchups.

Deadlines:
The Sign-Up Deadline is April 1st, 2006 (April Fools! But no, this really is)
The First Week's Predictions will be due on April 9th, before the first game begins. All games will be based on that. Trivia will be done at a mutually fair time (meaning, I will give you a time in date in which I will send you PMs containing the trivia questions). All other contests should be based on Sunday's games.

Contest Rules:
Trivia: I will send questions to both at the same time. Most correct responses by the deadline will win, tiebreaker is the first PM returned. One guess per question.
Everything Else: Will be explained in game.
