    General Spring Training

Mets put up 4 in the first inning on the Cards, then 5 in the second inning. Reyes tripled off the wall, Beltran RBI single, Delgado singled, Wright popped out, Nady RBI single, Diaz popped out, Castro doubled, Matsui struck out… etc. etc. Is there a mercy rule?

Cardinals come back with 4 runs in the bottom of the 2nd inning, Yadier Molina with a HR, it's now 9-4 only.

Also, Johnny Damon is 2-for-2 today with a single and a double.

3,479 in the house to watch the Dodgers and Braves game. Pretty decent crowd for an ST game.

Randy Winn has homered off Chris Capuano.
Brad Eldred off Valerio de los Santos.
    Josh Willingham off John Stephens.

Chris Coste and Phil Nevin have also gone deep.

Pretty sad that you guys hit a grand slam and had two other homeruns and still lost. Looks like Loaiza will play a big role for the A's this year after all.

ok, I guess we figured out your man crush...Esteban Loaiza.

    Kingdom has Zito
    Fisher has Arroyo
    DK has Loaiza
    CRF has Clemens

    anyone else?

First off, it's friggin spring training. And 2nd, it was Kingdom's other boy Danny friggin Haren that gave up 5 runs in 2 innings. We not only hit those 3 homers for 7 runs, we did it all in 1 inning and still lost...8 - 7.

Then out of fairness to the others you will be Slagathor.

And they're losing 5-2 to the Twinkies!
