Is Burnett worth the money?

Why is he going to come back at 100%? Elbow injuries are one thing, shoulders will nag at you and he'll probably never be back at 100%.

Because at the beginning of the year he did just fine off that shoulder. His arm should be in shape for 06 unlike in 05. In '06 I would bet that Morris gets 200+ IP and gets 15 wins for a team worth a shit. I can't say that about Burnett. We all know Morris isn't going to be the one from 2001 and that's why his price tag won't be as high as Matt hopes just like last year.

He'll probably come out looking good just like he did last year, but as the innings keep piling up on that arm he is going to be serving up those gopher balls again by the time the playoff race heats up. A shoulder injury isn't something to take lightly. All Mariners fans would know that, Gil Meche's arm isn't worth shit anymore.

Morris didn't have reconstructive surgery on that arm and yes shoulder injuries are not to be taken lightly which is why he is going to be in better shape. Another reason Burnett is not worth the money is because of his shitty attitude which St. Louis fans will not stand for. Morris and Millwood are much better fits for the Cards than Burnett.
