Bonds to play for USA?

Reports say Bonds has agreed to be on the team. I don't like him, but if he's healthy enough, he completely changes the aspect of a lineup. Go USA.

MLB have never played in the Olympics...only amateurs have. They usually use college players.

Bonds cares nothing about his image in case you haven't noticed. This is a terrible move by Bonds and it pisses me off. He wasn't healthy all of last year on a team built for him and his chance to win a ring and now he is going to jeopardize that again to play in meaningless games? He better not play because he doesn't have too many more chances to win his ring.

I can definitely see from that point of view. But if the man wants to play in the game, let him. It is a meaningless game, but it's also a game where it'd be nice to see USA win. It's competition, and another threat in the lineup is all the better.
