While fielding a ball, Sheffield gets punched in the face at Fenway Park. Now this is a rivalry isn't it! Sheffield then pushed the guy and then decided to continue the play. Low moment for Sox fans. Seattle is where fans have no clue what is going on, and catch balls Ichiro has a chance to catch, put our HR balls back in play, and so on. Never expected that from a Sox fan. Good job by they Security Guard for preventing anything else from happening.

By my standpoints, it wasn't a punch. More of a slap in the face. At least it didn't get out of control. Police did its work.
He was arrested? Good, no need to cause any more issues. Even if it was unintentional (which I happen to doubt, but I'd need to see it a few more times), there's no need to just eject him.

A lot of emotion in the game. Papa Jack (Sox hitting coach) got ejected and went apeshit, Johnson was pissed as hell at the umpire (which, FWIW, was a really poorly umpired game), Francona was pissed, the Sheffield incident. Wow.
Too bad I missed most of it. Bazzo gave me a call and informed me what was going on once we got home from little league practice. I wish I had seen it though!
