    Baseball poll

I chose installing a salary cap, though my other choice would have been abolishing the DH rule.

If they install a salary cap then that would allieviate a lot of the others (IE ticket prices and concessions).

I chose Ticket prices, I was leaning towards the concession prices, but you cant buy the expensive food if you cant afford to get into the game. Parking around The Cell is also and arm and a leg. between paying for parking, food and tickets you emptied your bank account.

Definitely salary cap. For obvious reasons. It just has gotten out of hand IMO.

    BTW great poll 777 +rep

Why want a salary cap when you get to see teams waste so much money. The past few years have shown anyone can win a title.

Because if teams are not spending as much on the players then they are likely to allieviate some of the additional costs and make it affordable for a family to enjoy a ball game.

ticket prices are already low enough...you can get a good seat at a baseball game for half the price of a nose-bleed endzone ticket at a football game.

conession stand prices, blah, regardless of what sport you're in, salary cap'd or not, they're gunna be high.

i think the salary cap is gunna probably ruin the game, i really do. if you put in a cap, then you're going to have a strike more than likey because of how whiney baseball players are.

instant replay is stupid. fair and simple. shouldn't be considered.

DH rule is where i'm at. its stupid. if the DH's today are too old to field, then they shouldn't be able to play. baseball is on both sides of the diamond, both fielding and hitting. if you can't do one or the other, then retire. its stupid. its not baseball.

Making times for playoff games more fan- friendly? wtf?

Lowering ticket prices - Baseball can't really tackle this, and as much as I would like to be able to get an obstructed view seat in Fenway AND have a Christmas, it's a business and they have the right to charge what they want.

Lowering concession prices - That's a whole different company

Installing a salary cap - I'd say this, but it depends completely on what the cap is, what the floor is, what is controlled, the effect on the draft, etc.

Installing instant replay -I want this in the MLB, I don't think the suffering of three minutes extra in a game is so horrible. This is my vote

Unifying or abolshing the DH rule - I like how it is a quirk for the leagues, gives distinction. And my opinion of the DH isn't the majority, and it would be abolished.

Making times for playoff games more fan- friendly - I think that'd be good, but there aren't enough good times without going to the NBA one where every game is shown at a good time.

Bannning the tomahawk chop - Heh.

I agree, I think the pitcher needs to bat in both the AL and NL

I like offense, so I would love to see DHs in both leagues. But, I went with replay because I have no problem with it, in any sport.

Salary cap is just not needed. Owners have the money but choose not to spend it. Every team can go out and get something if they wanted. I want to see the Native Americans who are offended by the tomahawk chop and slap them.
