Should the roof be open or closed?

    http://www.chron.com/cs/CDA/ssistory.mpl/sports/bb/astros/3413833

    To sum things up:

1 - The Astros were 36-17 this year when the roof at Enron Field was closed; they were 15-11 when the roof was open; (they won both games when the roof was used both ways).

2 - According to the "rules", the Astros get to decide how they want the roof during the regular season; but during the postseason, Major League Baseball decides.

3 - Major League Baseball wants the roof open; the Astros want the roof closed (more noise, etc.)

So what's the deal? Should MLB be able to force the Astros to have the roof open tonight and most likely for the entire series. The Astros want to tell MLB to f*ck off and leave them alone.

Whatever MLB wants the Astros have to abide by. If they didnt want to make his an issue they should have designed ti to be perminantly closed .

If this is in fact the case, then I guess I have no leg to stand on. It is my opinion that it should be up to the home team. If the crowd noise is the Astros' home field advantage, then they should be entitled to that for their 3 games.

Once again baseball is giving the White Sox yet another break. How many times wil this happen? Selig has no place to determine what the Astros do with this roof. Bud ****ed up yet again and shows how sloppy the heads of baseball really are.
