    NL Division Series: SD @ STL-Game 1

    Game 1

    vs

The Pads will bring their ace with Jake Peavy. cane he beat the notorious Cards lineup? He has to face Chris Carpenter, and he is no slouch. A true Cy Young candidate, and he has the team to back him. This is the NLDS folks! Lets get it started!

I heart playoff baseball. If the Pad want to back up that "we're tough in the short series" talk, then they have to win today. Have to.

I am not sure if it is, but I don't have a big problem with Morgan and Miller. Anyone got the lineups?

Yes. I'm at work so I get to hear the radio call.

ESPNHD broadcasts the games in Dolby 5.1. So we unplug the center channel to shut Jon and Joe up and just listen to game noise. Its perfect!

I can get some lineups if nobody else can. Won't be flashy though.

Jake Peavy had 1 start against St. Louis this season, he allowed 1 ER in 8 IP and struck out 10. They'll need a start like that again today...

I predict that the Cards will take this game along with the series, but this is the one that the Pads want to get. Peavy is a stud, and they are going to have to figure Carpenter out early.

8 players on the Pads roster have hit over .280 against Carpenter with at least 5 ABs.

Randa may have the most success going with a .281 and 2 HRs. Only player on the roster to take Carpenter deep in his career. But they have shown that they can hit the Cy Young candidate.

Roberts fails to set the table, he makes it look good though with a lineout to Walker in right.

Ugh, seeing Abraham Nunez start on a playoff team makes me sick. That guy did very little in Pittsburgh for a lot of years.

I have always like Klesko since his Braves days. I hope he can impress today.

Klesko takes the walk. That brings on the big time hitting Loretta.
