Thread: The NL MVP

  1. #1

    The NL MVP

As much as I would like Andruw to get it..Andruw won't get it. Pujols will. That's just the sad truth, although in my view, Andruw has done more for his team than Pujols has, hence he is more VALUABLE to his team. Hence the Most Valuable Player. However, the award title is misleading; Andruw won't get it because he's not the BEST player. Pujols is.

With that in mind, lets get a vote going, eh?

Be advised, the poll is to who IS the NL MVP, not who will win it. They are two different things in some instances.

went with andruw. Derrek has had a great year, but the cubs suck. Derrek will probably get the player of the year by TSN, but andruw is the MVP right now.

I was all over the Lee bandwagon for a while, but the Cubs suck too much right now for Lee to get consideration. Compare Pujols vs. Jones then. Sorry Andruw, but a .430 OBP and a .620 SLG%? It isn't really even that close.

And by the way, your options kind of suck (I understand the two jokes). Berkman instead of Ensberg? No Cabrera despite the fact that he is 2nd in the NL in BA and 3rd in OPS?

Ensberg is 31st in the NL in BA. I don't think that's MVP-caliber.

He has a higher BA than Andruw and a higher OPS. And why would Berkman and his 55 RBI's be on there and Ensberg isn't?

This isn't even close. Pujols is going to be a triple crown contender. Jones and Pujols have been put in the same boat, lots of injuries to their teams. The Braves and Cards young guys have been the reason these teams have continued playing well. Pujols has this one.

I did a lot of good things as a sim league GM.

Ah, give me something clever to say here.

Andruw has contributed more to his team winning than Pujols did.
