Have we ever seen such a drastic change in a player's production than Jose Ramirez? Dating back to the last half of last year, he has been awful. Can anyone think of an all-star player like Ramirez that just all of the sudden dropped off?

How high is #Pirates price on Felipe Vázquez? Sources say Pittsburgh likely would ask #Dodgers for *at least* two of the Keibert Ruiz/Gavin Lux/Dustin May/Will Smith group if talks ever advanced. (And one source said Pirates remain unsure if they sell at all.)
I would probably hate it if a deal like that happened, but the irony is lately it's been the guys who were outside our top 10 prospects who have haunted us (Yordan Alvarez).

The Giants winning again is annoying, but if it forces Farhan to keep all their veterans and not improve their future...

.@Joelsherman1 suggests the #Mets are hesitant to deal Syndergaard or Diaz to teams like the #Yankees or #Astros because they're more advanced analytically, and they could "flourish" for those teams.

In other words, "Those teams are smarter than us."
Should deal Syndergaard instead to the Dodgers, IMO. They can't even win a World Series, which proves they're not smart. At all.

It's 1 AM as I stay up for the 7 AM game and my brain right now is imagining Ryu having his 2nd disaster start of the year, Buehler re-enacting his 1st playoff start, and Kershaw imploding as they get swept by the Cardinals or some shit after all this pen debate.

Felipe Vazquez pitches like two playoff innings total, down five and nine runs. It shouldn't be funny but it kinda is.
I guess it's kind of like obsessing over kicker woes of your favorite football team and then in a playoff game, it's your offense and defense that you're down by 4 touchdowns.

Archie Bradley sure likes to chirp a lot for a guy who hasn't won jack shit in the big leagues.

Aquino bout to hit a HR every time he comes to the plate.

Aquino and Alvarez both with 3 HR nights. Unreal.

The Astros adding Yordan Alvarez is just not fair. It's like if Len Bias had lived to play for the defending champion 1986 Celtics.

    1. Walker Buehler wants that GM job so he can dumpster dive for relievers and hand 4-year deals to mediocre SPs and injury-prone outfielders. It's what nerds do.

    2. Kody doesn't understand how acronyms work.

So...not only would Vazquez have been suspended for the postseason but we would've given up some combination of Ruiz/Lux/May/Smith with nothing to show for it. Glad we dodged a bullet on that one.
