Dodgers blew their load scoring 21 against Milwaukee, then strike out 14 times against Verlander in a 2-1 loss the next day. Typical.

I remember when Providence A's would criticize the 2008-09 Dodgers for making the playoffs with their mediocre pitching, but here we are with the A's about to take over 1st place from the supposed unstoppable force that is #HoustonStrong, with Trevor Cahill, Brett Anderson, and EDWIN JACKSON in their starting rotation. But I'm not bitter.
Nats wave the white flag, trade Daniel Murphy to the Cubs and Fatt Adams back to the Cardinals (ugh). Jabroni Harper was claimed by a mystery team but the Nats pulled him back.
Think I heard Atlanta.

I heard Harper was claimed by the Dodgers but they couldn't work out a deal.

They probably wanted the Nats to take back matching salaries in order to remain under the tax. If the Nats wanted to, they could have screwed the Dodgers just by letting the claim go through, knowing Harper's remaining salary would have put the Dodgers over the tax.
Mariners Dodger themselves out of a bases loaded, no out 9th inning rally against the Dbags. FML.
This Rockies vs Angels game is the Spiderman pointing at Spiderman meme but with Jim Johnson and Adam Ottavino and dumpster fires.
Astros, can you not?
So, the talk is the Cubs are the favorites to sign Harper, and Machado will probably return to the East. We stayed under the tax all year for nothing except to line the pockets of the evil ownership.
So, the Rockies play a 4-game series against the Phillies, none of which Nola is starting, and the Rockies also miss Scherzer in their 3-game finale. This is fine.
I want to say "LOL Rockies", but I'm afraid they will beat the Cubs in the wild card game, anyway.
Butera almost fucked the Rockies, but right on cue Jason Heyward does Jason Heyward things at the plate with the game on the line.

5 game lead in the division on Labor Day. Lost the lead. Lost the division tiebreaker. Lost the wild card play-in game. Total fucking choke job. But don’t worry, Yu Darvish will be healthy next year.
