And the kid plays right field? Good, the Nats won't be needing that slacker Bryce Harper anymore.

Another one of their hick pitchers Hunter Strickland got pissed at black ballplayer Lewis Brinson for celebrating a game winning hit off him yesterday night. Strickland broke his hand punching a door after the loss, and the Giants plunked Brinson today because obviously the brother brought it on himself.

Max Muncy has 20 homers and he was only called up a month into the season to fill in for the injured Logan Forsythe who had been filling in for the injured Justin Turner. This is playing out like a ridiculous sports RPG story.

Grampa Utley is retiring at the season's end. Have Mets fans stopped whining?

Astros hit back-to-back bombs off a Dodger in extras. Oh, that World Series PTSD is hitting me hard.

The #metoo movement has run out of high profile sex offenders, so now the Social Justice Warriors have to dig up half-decade old tweets of baseball players before they were famous to have something to talk about.

Angels officially wave the white flag, trade Ian Kinsler to the Red Sox.

In earlier trades, Yankees get Lance Lynn from the Twins for spects Tyler Austin and Luis Rijo. Seems the plan is to keep throwing shit into the rotation and hoping some sticks?

Braves get Adam Duvall from the Reds for spects (still?) Lucas Sims and Matt Wisler and Kyle Tucker's less talented older brother Preston.

i think the plan with lynn actually, is for him to take warrens spot as the innings eating reliever. his gb pct is still 50%, and allegedly his velocity has been climbing the last month or so (i wouldnt know because... the twins). i dont have much hopes... my only assumption is they felt they could get more international signing bonus money for warren, than they could austin. whatever. unless they think they might have something lined up to dump gray. i hate sonny gray, but even id prefer him as the number 5 over the corpse of lance lynn.

I think Lynn will do a decent job and will provide some length out the pen and the occasional start. I really like how Cashman seems to not only be trying to win now but also preparing for the future.

I thought the Mariners traded everything they possibly could have over the last few years but yet Dipotto continues to find ways to make deals. Gotta give the man some credit for being so active, I guess.

His explanation is that they had enough depth to spare a veteran reliever, and they wanted to free up a spot for the younger Wander Suero. He could have moved Kelvin Herrera or Ryan Madson since both are pending free agents, but Kintzler's salary for next year was also motivation to trade him.
