Eh. They're not getting much in return in Cole. He had one great year and has been mediocre at best otherwise.

Of course I say that and he'll probably be a Cy Young candidate this year.

Cole's a glorified Jeff Samardzija at the moment, but if the Astros can fix Cole like everybody thinks they can, then yeah, that rotation is trouble.

TBH, I was skepical about how Verlander would fare moving from Comerica Park to Minute Maid Park, and I wouldn't be surprised if he regresses with a full season there, even with the fixes the team made to him.

The #Mets now have decided to sign 1B Adrian Gonzalez pending a physical.

"Pending a physical." Will he need to tip the X-ray technician to let him sub someone in for him to take the physical or are the Mets' training staff already incompetent enough to give him a clean bill of health?

Giants acquire Andrew McCutchen from the Pirates for Kyle Crick and some other mediocre "prospect" from the Giants' shitty farm system.

Pirates probably wanted Buehler, Verdugo, and Alvarez for Cutch from the Dodgers, as per tradition.

He was turning it around before he got moved. But once moved, yeah, insane

The stove has not been hot at all this season.

However, I would be pissed if I was a Pirates fan. Not only because of these trades but more so the fact that the front office never tried enough to win and build around Cutch and Cole. Sure, they are a low revenue team but so are the Royals and Indians.

I feel their pain Cincinnati's window was a joke. Cheap skate owners and economic disparity are the reason MLB is going to die.

Thankfully with Baseball’s long season, I’m used to not caring if I watch the majority of games.

It’s gonna be dark times again for the Tigers.
