MLB This new CBA sucks donkey balls

Having to forfeit amateur draft picks and international slot money in order to sign a decent free agent when your team is already paying the luxury tax is just brutal.

But at least the All Star Game no longer determines home field advantage in the World Series for the not-Dodgers. Yay me.

You had to give up picks for free agents in the last one, only they were first round picks (unless you're top ten pick) and it didn't matter whether or not you were above the luxury tax, so they made that better.

I am just glad they were able to come to an agreement.

I was never worried about a lockout.

The issues leading into this one were trivial compared to past ones and all reports leading up to about two weeks before the deadline indicated that everyone in the know was fully expecting a smooth transition with only minor wrinkles to iron out.

But of course, once the deadline got very close the owners created false urgency with their empty threat and the sensational media jumped all over it.

But even then, the majority of the doomsday articles contained verbiage in the body under the "OH NOEZ ANOTHER LOCKOUT LOOMING?!?!?!?!" article title stating that the odds were high of them getting it done on time and that there really isn't much to worry about.
